Six trades, one number to call
Most homes carry a list — the TV still in its box, the wall that needs something done to it, the door that will not latch, the flat-pack in the garage. Calling a separate specialist for each of those costs more in call-out fees than the work itself. I take the whole list in one visit, from Fort Lauderdale 33301 out across Broward County.

Why one trade beats five
The call-out fee is the real cost of a small job
A drywall patch, two ceiling fans, a dripping faucet and a set of blinds is four different trades on paper. Booked separately that is four minimum charges, four windows you have to be home for, and four people who each blame the last one.
Booked with me it is one afternoon and one invoice. That is the entire argument for a handyman, and it is why the smartest thing you can do is save the list up rather than call the moment something breaks.
Where a job genuinely needs a licensed specialist — a panel change, a permitted structural repair — I will tell you that on the phone rather than take the booking. Verify

Backlit walnut slat wall, Fort Lauderdale
A full-height walnut slat wall built around a 75-inch screen. Power and HDMI were run inside the framing before the slats went on, and LED cove lighting was set behind the top rail. Two days, carpentry and finish both in-house.
In-wall install on block, Pompano Beach
Solid block wall in a beachfront condo. Screen and soundbar both mounted and levelled, all cabling concealed inside the wall, and every component reconnected and paired before leaving. No surcharge for the concrete.
Slat panelling behind a grand piano, Weston
Slat spacing was set against the width of the instrument rather than a stock template, so the panelling reads as part of the room instead of a backdrop. Battens were sealed before installation to hold up to Florida humidity.
Kitchen refresh, Coral Springs
Cabinetry, counter tops, faucet and disposal, plus under-cabinet lighting and the switching to run it. Handled as one job rather than a carpenter, a plumber and an electrician on three different days.
Bathroom refresh, Hollywood
Vanity, shower door, tiling and every plumbing connection behind it. Grout and caulk lines are the part of a bathroom that shows the work, so that is where the time went.
Eleven-piece assembly after a move, Coral Springs
Three retailers, eleven pieces, one visit. Batching a whole house into a single booking rather than paying a minimum charge on each is where the saving comes from.

Nine-piece assembly after a move
Three retailers in one visit. One damaged rail sent back to the retailer; returned free to finish it.

Settlement crack cut back, taped and blended into the corner. Both fans on existing rated boxes.
